Tilt by andyclymer is a truly mind blowing typeface design. Andy showed me these a few years ago and I was waiting for an official release before spreading the word, (even though they’ve been on github for a while now.) But it’s true, they deserve to be seen and used 😍 bctuttle/1460718596867465218

These yūrei moji (幽霊文字) aren’t real 漢字, but it’s fun to just make up words for what these could mean, based on their parts: 穃 grain container 粫 rice conjunction 挧 hand-feather (verb) 橸 wooden crystal 膤 snow meat 袮 serious coat … (1/2) nick_kapur/1023946624366653441?s=21

Type designers: anyone else find that the average type user doesn’t know what “Deck” means, in terms of optical size? Naming convention are hard, and no system is perfect. But in the future I might opt for something like “Subhead” since this might be more clear to more people🤔
