    NickSherman connordavenpo ArrowType letterror kioskfonts I could imagine a "default" being instantiated on the fly & inserted in designspace on generate, ie based on only corner masters. But you'd have to give clear instructions on exactly how it's calcuated I've seen letterror diagrams showing why the order of calculation matters…

      NickSherman connordavenpo ArrowType letterror kioskfonts …and because there isn't just one way to determine the order of calculation, software like fontmake doesn't do it for you (which I think is a good thing). Currently I don't know of any software that doesn't require you to provide a UFO master @ the default to generate var fonts
