      zachleat PixelAmbacht I was taught “bad hinting is worse than no hinting” so that makes sense. I’m curious which versions of Windows you looked at? Also, did you try just re-hinting with TTFAutohint default settings (if this is allowed with the license)? TTFAH does a pretty good job these days

    zachleat PixelAmbacht Also, something to try is serving CFF fonts (which by definition don’t have TT hints) to newer versions of Windows. This can work well in some cases, especially in larger display sizes with fine details
